Historic Rochester has retained much of its Victorian charm with its cobbled streets, ornate lamp posts and buildings of great architectural and historical interest. When you stroll down the High Street you can enjoy a wide range of independent and specialist shops, with many places to eat and drink. Rochester is also famous for having the second oldest cathedral in England, and its castle, which are both well worth a visit.
