The Victoria & Albert Museum - The history of this museum has a story like no other. From its early beginnings as a Museum of Manufactures in 1852, to the foundation stone laid by Queen Victoria in 1899, to today's state of the art galleries, the museum has constantly evolved in its collecting and public interpretation of art and design. Its collections spam over 5,000 years of human creativity in virtually every medium, housed in one of the finest groups of Victorian and modern buildings in Britain. For more information you can visit - www.vam.ac.uk/.

The Natural History Museum  - This museum first opened its doors to the public on Easter Monday in 1881 and is home to life and earth science specimens of around 80 million items within 5 main collections. Given the age of the institution, many of the collections have great historical as well as scientific value, such as specimens collected by Charles Darwin. The museum is particularly famous for its exhibition of dinosaur skeletons and ornate architecture, both exemplified by the large Diplodicus cast that dominated the vaulted central hall before it was replaced in 2017 with the skeleton of a blue whale hanging from the ceiling. The Natural History Museum Library contains an extensive collection of books, journals, manuscripts, and artwork linked to the work and research of the scientific departments; access to the library is by appointment only. For more information you can visit - www.nhm.ac.uk/.

The Science Museum -  Welcoming over 3 million visitors a year, this museum is a must see for families and adults as part of any trip to London. It aims to make sense of the science that shapes our lives, inspiring visitors with iconic objects, award winning exhibitions, beautiful galleries, hands on workshops, science demonstrations and incredible stories of scientific achievement. For more information you can visit www.sciencemuseum.org.uk

The museums are free entry, although some exhibitions are chargeable, but you may need to book a timeslot.

PLEASE NOTE: Day Excursions are non refundable. Children under 5 are not allowed to travel on the front row seats.
