Countless castles jostle for attention with ghostly ruins guarding endless sandy beaches, and ones that echo with ancient footsteps. Based close to Newcastle on the north bank of the River Tyne, famous for its seven bridges and spectacular river scape, this city is a wonderful place offering new sights, sounds and experiences. You’ll be amazed. There are an array of things to see and do in Northumberland for history fans, hikers and romantics alike.

Excursions Included

One day, we explore Durham and take photos at the Angel of the North on our way to the hotel.
On another day, we enjoy a guided tour of Vera, visiting film locations along the Northumberland Coast, including the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, and stopping at Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnmouth, and Amble.
Free time in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
