Experience the Black Country of yesteryear as you explore over 250 years of history, from the Industrial Revolution to post-war prosperity, through living interpretation at Black Country Living Museum in Dudley in the West Midlands. They invite you to leave the 21st century behind for the day and experience sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the Black Country. Covering 26 acres of former industrial land, the museum is uniquely placed to tell the story of the creation oif the world's first industrial landscape. Over fifty authentic shops, houses, and workshops have been carefully reconstructed to preserve the character of the region when its manufacturers bought worldwide fame to Black Country towns. Take a trip on the tram to explore the canal-side village, where you can meet and chat to the costumed characters. Why not explore the underground mine and experience the authentic sights, sounds, smells and tastes from the past.

PLEASE NOTE: Day Excursions are non refundable. Children under 5 are not allowed to travel on the front row seats.
Please Note : If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
