We visit the City of Cambridge at Christmas.

There’s something for everyone when it comes to Cambridge. You can go punting on the River Cam, enjoy a picnic in the park, join a walking tour of the city, plus much more.

If you have a chance to hear the sublime Choir of King’s College, you will be enchanted. Choral Evensong is sung here most days during term time, as it is in many other college chapels – all free and open to everyone. As well as the free-to-enter University of Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum, which houses world-class collections of art and antiquities spanning centuries and civilisations.

If it’s shopping you are after Cambridge has it all, from some of the finest independent boutiques around, a seven day a week market and all the high street brands you might expect, you won’t be disappointed. There’s something for every budget, with luxury boutiques blending seamlessly alongside more affordable fare.

Cambridge has three shopping centres, The Grafton, Lion Yard and Grand Arcade all offering visitors a mix of retail and leisure options you would expect to see. The historic core and cobbled streets are home to a vast array of independent boutiques covering ladies and men’s wear, home furnishing and exquisite jewellery, to name but a few.

If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
