Chester & Chester Zoo

On this mini-break we visit the wonderful city of Chester and explore the Animal Kingdom! On day one, we visit the city of Chester, renowned for its bewitching beauty and unique atmosphere. It has the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse and largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, 700 year old unique shopping rows, plus a 1000 year old cathedral!

We also visit Chester Zoo (as seen on TV) which is home to more than 12,000 amazing animals, 400 different species including some of the most exotic and endangered animals in the world. Brand new for 2025 is their new 22-acre habitat 'Heart of Africa'! Home to 57 of Africa's species the zoo vital conservation efforts helps the rarest species not only survive but thrive. Encounter as mixed savannah, vibrant African inspired art, lush plants and breathtaking panoramic views as each step connects you to the extraordinary species and their wild homes!

Please Note - Mobility Aids:   If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator, please put the description in the Special Needs Section and we will check if we have availability. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.

Beaufort Park Hotel ***

An independently run hotel located just a short drive from the historic town of Mold and set in the attractive North Wales countryside. The bedrooms are designed with comoft in mind and provide you with en-suite bathrooms, telephone, TV, trouser press, hairdryer and refreshment tray. There isn't a lift, however ground floor rooms are available upon request.
