The Chester Heritage Festival is where the past comes to life through engaging talks, thrilling performances, hands-on activities, and immersive tours. This year's festival is packed with experiences designed to enable everyone to celebrate Chester's rich heritage in exciting and interactive ways, there will be walks, talks, films, Zumba in the amphotheatre, craft workshops and much much more.

Please Note: If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
Step aboard at Grosmont Station for a 180 min return journey to Pickering Station and back travelling through the stunning North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Along the way, you'll experience the sights, sounds and atmosphere of one of the most iconic steam locomotives in the world.
