We bring you the unforgettable chance to travel behind the world famous LNER A3 Flying Scotsman. Tickets are strictly limited, so book early to avoid dissapointment!

 

We first of all head to Thornton le Dale, home to TV's 'Bangers & Cash' family-run classic car auction business, The Mathewsons, after a walk around and chance for lunch we then head on to Grosmont Station where you have time to look around and take photos while the train is at the station. Our tickets are booked for the 3pm journey, with a run time of approx 180 minutes.

 

Included in the price is a return journey from Grosmont Station to Pickering Station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway hauled by 'Flying Scotsman' and a commemorative brochure of your journey.

 

Additional Information:

• Refreshments are available at both Grosmont and Pickering Stations.

• There is an onboard bar service available.

• There is a small step onto the train. Wheelchair users must be able to transfer themselves onto a seat as they dont have an access coach.

• There are accessible toilets at both Grosmont and Pickering and standard toilets on the train.

• There is a gift tin available to purchase in advance at £19.95 and can be collected on arrival (contents include items from award-winning bakery Lottie Shaws - pk 4 yorkshire parkin ginger biscuits, pk 4 triple chocolate biscuits, multiple chocolate chip flapjacks, multiple traditional oat flapjacks, multiple millionaires shortbread ) Please inform our Travel office when booking if you would like a gift tin adding. Please Note: If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.

Step aboard at Grosmont Station for a 180 min return journey to Pickering Station and back travelling through the stunning North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Along the way, you'll experience the sights, sounds and atmosphere of one of the most iconic steam locomotives in the world.
