Hull & The Deep (A)

Hull & The Deep (A)

We visit Hull & The Deep!

View Dates & Book

We visit Hull and The Deep for the day!

Hull is a city of contrasts, from the cobbled streets of the historic Old Town with its Museums’ Quarter and thriving creative industries to the contemporary Princes Quay Shopping Centre above the waters of a former dock. The city reflects its maritime history with a Maritime Museum, the Spurn Lightship, the intriguing sidewinder trawler Arctic Corsair. In the heart of the city, the marina complex occupies the site of the former docks. A haven for yachts and small sailing craft, it is surrounded by shops, restaurants, traditional pubs and contemporary café bars. In the summer months the marina is the setting for the city’s annual international Jazz and Sea Shanty festivals enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.

The Deep is Hull's award winning aquarium, which is home to over 50,000 animals. Marvel at amazing marine life including magnificent sharks and rays, the UK’s only pair of Green sawfish, a colony of Gentoo penguins, Loggerhead sea turtles & more. Go on a journey through prehistoric seas, past tropical lagoons, into the vast open oceans, down to the darkest depths, through the chilly Kingdom of ice & into the future. Catch the daily dive show, penguin feeds as well as getting hands on in a touchpool session with some animals native to British shores. Take a walk through the viewing tunnel and why not finish your visit with a in the glass lift with a ride through the 10 metre endless ocean tank. Little ones can also enjoy the interactive magic floor, fossil bruishing and soft play area.

Stop by one of the family-friendly cafés during your visit, and enjoy a range of delicious hot & cold food, snacks and drinks. Picnics are also welcomed; enjoy your food in the dedicated 'Picnic Plaice' halfway around the attraction or take a seat in the sunshine on one of the outdoor picnic benches.

  • ADMISSION TO THE DEEP IS INCLUDED!
