Knaresborough is full of surprises, a warren of medieval streets and stone staircases that weave their way up and down the hill. The town centre is perched on the cliffs above the River Nidd and the imposing railway viaduct, There are plenty of things to do all year round. The marketplace in the centre of the town offers a great place to enjoy a cup of tea or something delicious and home baked.an ice-cream or indulge in the tradition English pastime of ‘simply mucking about in boats’.

Harrogate has a bust schedule of sparkling events to get you in the festive spirit from the beginning of November, all the way through until New Year’s Day. Christmas markets and fairs fill town centres offering a fun alternative to the usual shopping experience with delicious Christmas treats and a truly magical, festive feel. Whatever you are looking for this Christmas the Harrogate area extends a warm festive welcome to visitors and residents alike.

Please Note : If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
