Pontefract - Liquorice Festival

Pontefract Liquorice Festival is a sweet-themed celebration of Pontefract’s historic link with liquorice! Enjoy exploring the speciality market (with many of the stalls offering liquorice themed products!) and treat yourself to the delicious street food. With plenty of activities including stage entertainment from community acts and top local talent, make sure to watch out for the walkabout entertainment and most importantly the Liquorice parade at Cornmarket (Starting at Haribo Factory) Times 11.30am & 2.30pm.  Enjoy the colour and spectacle of the HARIBO-themed parade with colourful costumes and their iconic mascot Goldbear leading the way!  There is even something for the little ones with the all-new kids' zone on Cornmarket with exciting workshops, face painting, crafts and more!

PLEASE NOTE: Day Excursions are non refundable. Children under 5 are not allowed to travel on the front row seats.

Please Note: If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
