Standing proud at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Richmond is one of Britain's most beautiful and vibrant market towns. With its iconic castle, fine historic buildings, sweeping cobbled market place and leafy riverside vistas, it is the original of no less than 105 worldwide Richmonds - all following in its ancient footsteps. As if this impressive pedigree is not enough, you will also find  a host of individual shops, tempting eateries and exciting cultural and heritage attractions to explore and discover.

Hawes is an intricate market town in the upper reaches of Wensleydale, with plenty to do and a treasure trove of independent shops, cafes and crafts.

Visit the Dales Countryside Museum to learn about the history of life in the Dales or the Wensleydale Creamery – home to Yorkshire’s most famous cheese, beloved by Wallace and Gromit.

Settle is a picturesque and unspoilt market town with lots to see and do for visitors and a thriving community for those who live here. At the gateway to Upper Ribblesdale it remains a hub for the many villages in the surrounding area, once linked by pack-horse trails and drovers roads. These ancient routes survive as scenic footpaths and bridleways to explore across the distinctive limestone landscape. Immediately overlooking the marketplace is Castleberg, a 206 feet (63 m) limestone crag.

Please Note : If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator with you it must be requested at the time of booking. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.
