Salford Quays OR Manchester Airport Runway Park

Salford Quays OR Manchester Airport Runway Park

Salford Quays OR Manchester Airport Runway Park - The Choice is yours!

View Dates & Book

Manchester Airport Runway Park: Adjacent to the busy runways of Manchester Airport, the Runway Park park’s raised viewing area means you can stand literally just a few metres away from the planes as they go past! The park is also home to a variety of retired planes, including the spectacular supersonic airliner, Concorde G-BOAC; and former RAF military spy plane, Nimrod. There’s also a DC-10, Avro RJX and a retro Trident airliner, offering a glimpse of what flying was like in the 1960s and 1970s. In addition to a large picnic area, there is also the RVP coffee house, a play area and The Aviation Shop, which stocks a range of plane-related souvenirs, suitable for children through to the more serious aircraft enthusiasts.

Salford Quays: The Quays is Greater Manchester's unique waterfront destination, situated just 15 minutes by tram from Manchester city centre. Shopping, sport, art, drama, history and truly world-class architecture - you name it and you'll find it at The Quays. Whether you're a shopaholic or just someone who likes a bargain, the opening of the Quayside Media City has made the Quays a mecca for the discerning shopper with big-name brand shops and stores offering discount prices - up to 70 per cent lower than the high street - all year round. There's no better place to find top sport action than The Quays. Home to two of the most renowned clubs in British sport - Manchester United and Lancashire County Cricket Club, the Quays is the area to head for when wanting the best in football and cricket. Or why not visit one of the country's finest museums, Imperial War Museum North or The Lowry!

PLEASE NOTE: Day Excursions are non refundable. Children under 5 are not allowed to travel on the front row seats.
