Settle - Carlisle By Train - 3 Days

The Settle - Carlisle Railway is one of the worlds’ most impressive and scenic rail journeys. Enjoy our epic journey travelling through the Eden Valley taking in magnificent scenery with views of the Lakeland Fells and Pennines and Garsdale. We travel through the longest tunnel on the line at Blea Moor in the Yorkshire Dales and over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct! Please Note: The train is not steam powered.

Please Note - Mobility Aids:   If you wish to take a mobility scooter, wheelchair or rollator, please put the description in the Special Needs Section and we will check if we have availability. Any such equipment must fold flat for storage or be capable of being broken down into pieces of no more than 20kg. We cannot accept larger scooters (class 3) as these are too large and heavy to lift. We sometimes operate minibus feeders to minimise time, these vehicles CANNOT convey motorised wheelchairs/scooters.

Shap Wells Hotel ***

Situated in a secluded, wooded valley, this three star hotel is set in tranquil surroundings near Penrith amongst the Lakeland Fells. You can look out over the Fells whilst dining in the beautifully set dining room. There is a bar/ballroom where entertainment is provided on most evenings. There is also a games room, free Wi-Fi and a lift. All rooms are en-suite and have TV, radio and tea/coffee making facilities
