Spend the day with us as we visit both Thirsk and Ripon!
View Dates & BookThirsk is a charming market town in North Yorkshire, England, that offers a glimpse into the rural life and heritage of the region. You can explore the cobbled streets and quaint shops, enjoy the local produce and cuisine, and visit the famous World of James Herriot museum, dedicated to the author of All Creatures Great and Small. It is also a great base for discovering the natural beauty and history of the surrounding area, such as the North York Moors National Park, the White Horse of Kilburn, and the medieval Rievaulx Abbey. Whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous escape, Thirsk has something for everyone.
Ripon, in Yorkshire, is a cathedral city steeped in history and home to magnificent historical buildings and long-observed traditions. You will find a trio of award winning museums and a gothic cathedral that dates back to the 7th century waiting to feed enquiring minds. With a thriving market place this busy little city will earn a place in any visitors heart. Reaching out from the market square are small streets and snickets that are home to the eclectic and specialist shops for which Ripon is so loved. Amongst them are cafes and pubs, offering refreshment and home cooked food throughout the day.
